Fancy something to chuck around the house during winter? Need a quick glider fix? Man-o-Straw takes just a few minutes to build out of paper and straw. It's just a bit of fun. However, on another level, you can use it for prototyping larger models. Since it can be made quickly, the design provides a convenient way to explore aerodynamics and to experiment. You can try out wing planforms, mess around with dihedral, polyhedral and wing tips. Most importantly you can experiment with tail moment length, rudder and stabliser sizing.
